Our Story

Started in 1997 - my wife Coleen decided to get into a small business. She picked this business and started to deliver balloons from a spare room in the house. I was the coolie and had to bring in the helium tank from the vehicle.

2001 - 4 years later, she decided to go full time into a shoplot in PJ s14. And she had a partner and so Balloon Bouquets Sdn Bhd was born.

2006 - I decided to get out of working for others and joined Coleen in this business. I was curious if the concept could grow, registered as a franchisor with the Msian Govt. and decided to grow the business.

Our Team

We grew from PJ into Bangsar, then to GE in Ampang. Maggie joined the Franchise in 2008 at USJ Taipan, then opened shop in Shah Alam. Coleen’s sister, Cindy joined the franchise and opened shops in Sri Hartamas and Wangsa Walk. Stephen joined the Franchise and opened in Alamanda Mall at Putrajaya.  Hui Ling from Brunei joined us and opened 3 shops from 2014. Then there was Pavilion, Ikea Power Centre etc. Sathes bought over the Klang Franchisee in 2019 and also our Pavilion shop late 2020.

Coleen's Legacy Lives On

Coleen passed away after a spell of illness in March 2017.

She was soft spoken. Never spoke in anger. She was great with her clients who became fast friends. She was the go-to person who would always surprise and delight them at their parties with new and different balloons and designs. She had a great sense of humour and a store of jokes. She made people laugh and they were happy in her presence. 

Today 2nd Feb 2021. We are in MCO again.

We are now 12 shops in the Klang Valley. We are a full range party shop. We stock the very best Balloons from around the world. Plus party items/ costumes/ noisemakers etc.

We are a Malaysian Company. Together with Franchisees, we are a team of about 50 people. We are all locals, all with families and mouths to feed. And now we sell on the web as well. The frequent MCOs and CMCOs have made retail business really tough. So we now move to delivering balloons to home parties.

And as for Coleen’s excellent customer service? We still strive to be as good as we can be.
